Qisda Group Wins 8 TCSAs, Including The “Social Inclusion Leadership Award” – Caring For Rural Areas And Playing The Role Of Technology Leader

With Qisda’s commitment to sustainable corporate management, the involvement of the members of the Grand Fleet was included in the competitions, and received eight “TCSAs and TSAAs.” Qisda won its first “Social Inclusion Leadership Award”; as well as the “Taiwan Enterprise Sustainability Excellence Award,” three “Sustainability Report Awards,” and three “TSAAs.” Thanks to the affirmation of these awards, the Group will continue to lead the Grand Fleet to implement sustainability with concrete actions.

The Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) organized the 14th TCSA in 2021 with an award ceremony taking place on November 17. According to the TAISE, a total of 329 companies entered the competition in 2021, representing an increase of 31% from last year, a record high. This jump also suggests that winning is getting more difficult. A total of 463 companies participated in the competition in the past and the ratio of their total annual turnover to Taiwan’s DGP in 2020 is about 143%, indicating the importance of Taiwan’s sustainability evaluation platform.

Qisda Chairman Peter Chen said that the Group’s objective for 2022 is to achieve the goal of earning more than half of its revenue in the High Value-Added Business. With the Group’s platform of resources that aims to reach a win-win resolution, Qisda attracts partners of the Combined Fleet and strives to increase the economic benefits of value transformation. To achieve this, the Company will implement ESG (environment, society and governance), three major aspects of corporate sustainability so that partners of the Grand Fleet can jointly deepen suitability foundation to create mutual property.

Expand technological innovation for social inclusion with BenQ Foundation

With “expansion of technological innovation for social inclusion,” Qisda won its first “Social Inclusion Leadership Award.” Through the BenQ Foundation, Qisda Group has long been putting its core capabilities into play in order to realize the true beauty of technology in daily lives with company clubs and employees. By introducing digital opportunities, good education, cultural values, and environmental sustainability, the Group promotes positive power of the community and deepens its corporate culture to nurture outstanding employees, while shaping good social citizens.

To achieve United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the BenQ Foundation has initiated a program based on humans and land, using the idea of “being earth-friendly” and “caring for society” a horizontal axis and vertical axis, integrating four major operational directions of “narrowing digital gaps,” “cultivating honest people,” “increasing original cultural values,” and “being earth-friendly.” Over the years, the Group has provided group resources and technology education in rural areas to enhance the digital and application capabilities of disadvantaged students, community members, indigenous peoples, new immigrants and women. For the past 12 years, the Group has continued to support farmers’ “friendly farming” by leading employees and their families to work in rice fields, allowing them to have a sense of appreciation for the earth’s resources.

In terms of value transformation, Qisda achieved the roadmap for suitability by incorporating technology into its Medical Business and smart solutions and received the “Taiwan Enterprise Sustainability Excellence Award.” The Company’s efforts towards sustainability have been repeatedly recognized since it published its first Corporate Social Responsibility Report in 2007 and is certified by a third party each year from 2009. This year, Qisda won another “Corporate Responsibility Report – Electronic Information Manufacturing – Gold Award.”

Expanding sustainability commitment with Grand Fleet partners wins 8 awards

Aside from pursuing sustainable management, Qisda also makes a proactive effort to expand its influence on the Grand Fleet members and society as well as upstream and downstream partners. The Group won two awards from the first Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards (TSAA): “SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth – Silver Award” – by encouraging suppliers to join in the CIP (Continuous Improvement Program); and “SDG 4 Quality Education – Bronze Award” – by integrating technology and humanity strengths of the Foundation. Shiqiang Village, Miaoli was transformed into a sustainable community with digital inclusion.

Thanks to the platform of resources, the Group’s company, Topview Optronics, enhanced the contents of its suitability report and won the “Sustainability Report – Silver Award” upon its first entry in the competition. Moreover, the excellent recycled water resources solution developed by BenQ Materials has also won the “TSAA – Bronze Award” and “Sustainability Report – Silver Award,” demonstrating the comprehensive effect of the Grand Fleet. Through the implementation of internal sustainable management, Qisda hopes to bring stakeholders’ positive influence. Furthermore, by facilitating the value chain management, the overall future sustainable value of the alliance will gradually be improved.
